The building mesh reinforcements consist of high-quality low carbon wires, stainless steel cold-rolled ribbed bars or plain round bars which are vertically and transversally spaced and welded at intersections.


The building mesh reinforcements are classified into hot galvanized, electro-galvanized, PVC coated, plastic coated and special welded meshes. 


The mesh reinforcements are applied to reinforced concrete structures for bridges, highways, tunnel back plates, high-rise building floor, subway culverts, power plant works, dam foundations, port wharf, embankment protective walls and airport runway.


Features: the product has firm welds, strong pre-stress, extremely strong corrosion prevention and oxidation resistance; it can improve the quality of the projects, reduce the construction period by 2 times, save 33% steel, reduce 30% of cost of and increase efficiency by 75%. According to the technical regulations, the mesh reinforcements for buildings shall be made of CRB550 cold-rolled ribbed bars or CRB510 cold-drawn bars. One mesh shall be made of reinforcements of the same type. The meshes can be classified into sized and custom-made meshes according to the shape and specification, and the spacing and diameter are different in the two directions. However, the reinforcements in the same direction shall have the same diameter, spacing and length. The existing specifications and standards specify the shape and size of the welded meshes. The diameter of the welded meshes shall be determined by the Buyer and Suppliers according to the design and construction requirements and actual construction situations and shall be 4-14m, and 0.5mm diameter is recommended for transport conditions. The length of the welded mesh reinforcements should not exceed 12m, width should not exceed 3.4m, the spacing of the reinforcements (or vertical reinforcements) in the fabrication direction is generally 100,150,200 mm, and in other direction is 100, 150, 200 and 300mm, and sometimes can reach 400mm. When the vertical and transverse reinforcements are single reinforcements, the nominal diameter of the smaller reinforcement shall not be less than 0.6 times the nominal diameter of greater reinforcements, that is dmin ≥ 0.6 damx. The shear force (N) of the spot welds of meshes should not be less than the product of 150 and nominal cross-sectional area (in mm2) of the greater reinforcement.
